So... I fangirled over this volume as well. Why? Well, it's Furuba, duh! No, seriously, this was another great one! I enjoyed this story as much as I did the previous four volumes. You see more of HATORI!!!, Ayame, Shigure, HARU!!!, Tohru, Yuki, KYO!!!, and a new character! *Squees* Of course, there's more background story revealed and just a whole bunch of craziness that makes it all the more enjoyable to read. What I love about this volume the most is getting to meet Kisa and, for me anyway, relating to her and her problems. More on that soon.

Man, Takaya-sensei! Your ability to tell stories is just astounding! WHERE DO YOU COME UP WITH THIS STUFF!? X3 I'm not sure but I love it. She takes everyday situations and turns them into something so... meaningful... you relate to almost every single character because of what they are going through. I know I do! Her artwork is still very pretty. Her babbles on video games very entertaining! WAH!!! SHE TALKED MORE ABOUT FINAL FANTASY!!! HOW EPIC IS THAT!? I know what she meant about wanting to see more of the Crystals! Ah, man! Those were the days! I cannot wait to play more of

! Takaya-sensei, I love you. You manage to take everything I love about these characters and make them even more beautiful! And in this volume, you did it with all three of my favorite characters! That's right! She managed to make Hatori, Haru, and Kyo even more sexy than before! I wish I could tell you exactly what she did but... you know the drill.

Tohru... you worry too much about grades. School is not everything. Sure it's important... but it doesn't make you who you are. Take it the way Hanajima does~ Speaking of, we got to see more of her in this volume! Her and her little brother, Megumi, who she says she looks nothing like but I swear are twins. XD Those two are brilliant together! They can scare the crap out of anyone and for that, I respect them! XP I really fell in love with Hanajima in this volume. Everything she does was amazing! Tohru was being cute with Kyo because Kyo is just sexy. He's the sweetest! *Swoons* The way he cares for her is just... WAH! LOVE! I LOVE IT! Yuki was also sweet here. Especially with Kisa. Kisa is the newest addition to the cast (along with Megumi) and I must tell you she's adorable. Yuki was able to help her, as well as Haru and Tohru, with her problem.

Kisa is someone I relate to a lot and if you experienced the same thing when growing up, then you will too. It hits straight home what happens and for that... I appreciate her all the more. Haru... oh my God, Haru. Can he get anymore awesome? I bet he can! And he does! But that comes later~ XD But he was the best when it came to Kisa. I wish I can tell you completely what happened but... no. Just know he's pretty and awesome and YOU WILL WANT TO EAT HIM WHEN FINISHED READING! *Ahem* I told you my future reviews were going to be just as crazy... and disorganized... I can't help it. I LOVE THIS MANGA! Anyway, um, yeah! All the characters in this manga really stood out in this one. You feel for them deeply and you want to be able to help them in some way but... AT LEAST THEY HAVE TOHRU!!! DAMN IT! WHY ARE THE SOHMAS SO EFFING HOT!? IT UPSETS ME!!! BECAUSE I WANT THEM!!! >_< So... yeah... Awesome characters.

Why is it that I can never state clearly what I'm trying to say in these reviews! Ugh! Whatever! I don't care! Get this series! Stop reading these reviews and get them already! It's an awesome manga with loving characters, a heart wrenching plot, and just smexiness all around. After five of these reviews, and seeing how insane I get with it, are you really going to question whether you want to get it or not? For shame, man! For shame! Well, I suppose I'll just have to continue raving about how epic this series is until you do get it. You do know there's 23 volumes, right? *Smirks* Prepare for a bumpy ride, my friends~ I'm taking you to AWESOMEVILLE and back with me! >:3

    Another fun, light-hearted read.

Even though there's not usually much of a storyline in

, I still find the series really enjoyable. The only thing that bugs me is that the dialogue can be quite weird at times.

I loved Tohru, Kiyo, Kisa, and Momiji's characters — they were all so cute. Kiyo was as adorably moody as ever. It was sweet how worried he was about Tohru when she got a cold, and I loved that he cooked for her and made sure she was resting. I really want them to get together,

    ELLOHAAAAAY!!! (Pig Latin, for: HELLOOO!)

Fruits Basket: One of the best manga series, but with extremely stalkerish people.

Yuki I can expect be kidnapped and trapped in a basement once all of his fangirls from school realize he's not immortal and can get close enough to take him away. (Btw, if everyone thinks Yuki looks so much like a girl, why is everyone 'falling' for him...?)

I don't think Yuki looks THAT much like a girl, only if you look really hard into your imagination, and his brother Aya

I don't think Yuki looks THAT much like a girl, only if you look really hard into your imagination, and his brother Ayame looks WAY more like a girl than Yuki.

An adorable new character has joined us!! (I'm meeting a new character every manga, so technically for me one every day!) Kisa is a little girl who is the lion, and can't speak because she feels she can't, (she was bullied by other children and they laughed everytime she spoke). When she feels insecure, she bites, (as a baby tiger) really hard. Tohru got bit on the hand, (which probably REALLY hurt) and Hatsuharu got bit on the shoulder/arm, (and acted like he didn't even feel it, though the mark left was really bad).

Again, I love both Black and White Hatsuharu, but in this manga it seemed like there was almost a 'grey' Hatsuharu, because he was scolding Kisa that they were worried about her, (and that's why he got bit). Then everyone was like: ...? Did you just turn black...?

Kisa seems to have gotten an attachment to Tohru, and follows her all around everywhere. Kisa and Momiji could SO be adorable friends!!! I was a little shocked that Kisa was a little girl, but I probably shouldn't have been.

What I find interesting is that Hatsuharu cares very much for Kisa, (which is reasonable for a child) but Kisa really likes him too, (as a friend I think). So it would be the Lion and the Ox/Cow.

    Interesting.

Hatori is a kind person, but his facial expression all the time kind of creeps me out... Sorry. His eyes are wide and his face blank. :/

Yuki and Kyou are fighting again, but it seems way more intense, (which probably isn't a good thing).

AND WHEN WILL TOHRU STOP FALLING ON ALL OF THE ZODIAC MEMBERS!!? Probably never.

At the end Tohru got a little sick and cursed her inability to cook, and Kyou took that opportunity to make her meals everyday. AWWWW!

That's so sweet. I'm still confused if Kyou is a mysterious hat-dispensing boy, or if Yuki is...

    CAN'T WAIT TO READ VOLUME 6!!!! :D

This one felt a little like 'filler' story-wise, but it was nice to see Tohru being something other than super-sickly-positive all of the time. I do love that about her, but a little weakness made her feel a bit more realistic. Otherwise I'm not sure anything actually happened in this volume. Good job I have the next one waiting for me ;)

I love how the narrator gets increasingly snarky.

"I'm sure they're just fine!" ("They're not fine.")

"STOP MANIPULATING HER!" ("Now they're being manipulated.")

So much sass from you right now.

    5/5 stars

I love this manga. It makes me laugh, it makes me sob, it makes me smile, it gives me the feels and overall, it warms my heart up even in the darkest days. Plus, this is probably my favorite of the manga series till now for many reasons. First of all, my favorite character (Hatori) is psychoanalyzed a lot in this.

Second, a character that means a lot to me appears. This is Kisa, the girl who is bullied and has stopped talking due to her depression. Believe me, I know exactly how this fee

Believe me, I know exactly how this feels and the whole Kisa part was bringing me in tears in every page. I just don't understand why our world is so cruel, why kids receive such heartache and depression is such a young age because of bullying. And as a victim of it for many years, I have only one thing to shout. STOP IT!

Back to our review. I ship Kyo and Tohru so much xD This volume didn't explore the whole supernatural aspect of this story but if I guess well, we are really close to a HUGE revealing of someone's story, if the manga is following the anime's plot.

I am just so excited because I'll read MUCH manga this month:)

Recommended from the bottom of my heart <3

I enjoyed this one. It was much sadder than the rest. I think the reason why Tohru has become so depressed over not doing well in school is not because she's being overdramatic, but because she has set her expectations so high. She promised her mom who has since passed away that she'd graduate and now feels like a failure.
