Trent is the lead singer of Three Ugly Guys, which is a pop-rock band made up of guys who act like goofy brothers. He is known as a playboy and butts heads with Lexi (who isn't impressed by his reputation). An incident lands them in proximity to each other, and no matter how much they fight their attraction to each other, they cannot seem to help themselves.

The banter between the band mates as well as between Kacey and the band (especially Trent) was great- witty, funny, spunky, and a bit crazy. The timeline was realistic, and I really liked how the characters seemed to be the opposite of who they actually are- based on their persona.

A fun and fast read with chemistry, fun characters, and plenty of spirit.

. I am a fan of this trope, so to say that I was excited was an understatement. I did not just ravished it, I read it with all my heart enjoying my journey of Trent and Lexi. So without giving you too much away as the blurb pretty summed up what the book is all about I will just leave my review like this...

Detour was a light hearted read. No OTT drama yet got loads and loads of fun, banters, bickering and scorching scenes that will definitely make your panties in a twist. I love the characters because they're easy to fall in love with. Their chemistry was undeniable and although the attraction was immediate, I had no complaints about it since it was supported with Kacey's brilliant portrayal of them' hence the insta-attraction. Trent, A rock star who loves music and pussy more than anything,

found her match with Lexi's strong and sassy nature. These two together might not be as explosive but I enjoyed my journey with them together with the secondary characters. But I'll be honest here, it took me several chapters before I felt a connection to the story and the characters. It felt off at first and with the pacing, it kinda bore me. I was so glad though that I root for them because when it picked up I did not just enjoy it, I love it and realized there's more to this rock star romance than I have it given credit for. It got depth and with rock stars as foundation, there was more to the story than that. With it's wit and humor plus a heart more than those steamy sex scenes that had me fanning, I fell in love with the story and the characters BIG TIME.

Oveall, I will recommend this book. If you're looking for a story that will give you a ride into music, fun, love with depth, then this book is for you. Take a ride with Trent and Lexi and the whole gang, have fun and fall in love with them.

To Kacey Shea, I am excited what you're in store for us next time!

One of the best things about this novel is how you actually get rockstar performances. The author gives you the characters high and lows from performing. Lexi is this hard a$$ rocker chick that basically shows the boys that she's not popstar. But really no matter how tough she is her emotions are no match for Trent. He kind of sweeps you off your feet before you realize you have fallen. I wasn't to sure about them being together though because you know how lead band members are. It was alot of b

It was alot of back and forth between them because of Lexi's parents. Her dad was famous and it made her have sore spot when it came to musicians. I thought for sure that I would be there down fall. However when Trent slept outside the bedroom door I think I feel head over heels!

"She's my world your, my greatest award, better than any bestselling album or performance."

This was my 4th book by Kacey and I loved it just as much as every other one of hers. I have to admit, I thought this was going to be completely separate from the Uncovering Love series but I was super excited to find out that I was dead wrong! I couldn't contain my excitement when I found out that this book follows a hunk that I've had the pleasure

I have to admit, I thought this was going to be completely separate from the Uncovering Love series but I was super excited to find out that I was dead wrong! I couldn't contain my excitement when I found out that this book follows a hunk that I've had the pleasure of meeting in the other books. I didn't want to let the characters from UL go and now I don't have to. This new series is giving me so much hope! Kacey has given me something I didn't know I was yearning for and hopefully that shows just how much I love her work.

This is a rock star romance and it was like none other I've ever read. It's a dual POV so it also follows Lexi, an up and coming singer/songwriter. These two meet right before they go on tour together and they both stole my heart right away. As individuals, they are hilarious and as real as you and me. But as a duo, they are that plus so much more. I loved how Trent showed his fierce, caring side right from the start. He was so perfect for Lexi and vice versa. They both tell it how it is and the way they worked through their problems was nothing short than awe-mazing. I wish I meet my own Trent soon because this book gave me all the feels that I didn't want to stop experiencing.. I'm a bit obsessed with Trent, in case it isn't obvious.

The only criticism I have for this book was that a few things were more than a bit predictable. I saw some things coming and yes, it put a bit of a damper on my mood, but I just shrugged it off and kept going.

Kacey is a mastermind when it comes to writing. Her novels always feel lighthearted and epic until you get slapped by a sudden depth that you can't crawl out of. The rawness that Kacey includes in her books brings you to the ground while at the same time, everything else keeps you soaring. This is exactly what this novel was and I loved it even more because of it.

The ending was beyond beautiful and it had me bawling like a baby. I can't tell you how many times I went back to reread it because I didn't want to let go. I can't wait for Sean's story next!

"When life gets off track, sometimes a little detour is all it takes to set things right."

Not recommended for readers under 18.

Detour is a new Rockstar Romance, that will have you wanting more.

Trent is part of the band Three Ugly Guys. They’ve been together for years. The popularity has grown and they're starting their tour. A new act is coming to open and that is Lexi Marx. She’s talented, and honestly, I think more talented than those Three Ugly Guys.

Lexi has a lot she’s dealing with inside. She’s stubborn and wants to do everything by herself. Then there’s Trent who wants nothing but to have Lexi, even though he’s

Lexi has a lot she’s dealing with inside. She’s stubborn and wants to do everything by herself. Then there’s Trent who wants nothing but to have Lexi, even though he’s been warned. This was an enjoyable read. I’m still on the fence about Trent, not sure if I really like him. Overall, I think he’s a good guy but just really cocky. But Lexi is a force to be reckoned with.

The writing was done well and I was interested to see where Shea led us. The only thing is, I didn’t emotionally connect with the characters. It didn’t pull at my heart strings. But they played beautiful music together.

One thing I do want to mention, I do love this cover. It was different for me. Usually, rock star romances have the buff male on the front. This cover really gives you that feel, that it's not like every other rock star romance.

Overall, I give this Four Boundless Stars.

I really liked this story and although it has some of the same formulas of other Rock Star books the Author is able to create characters that you care about. Three Ugly Guys are on their way up and even though they can't seem to keep a drummer, their manager tells them the label wants them to audition females for the job,the guys balk and compromising agree to a female opener. Lexi Marx can't believe she is getting her break finally and more importantly on her own merit. Travis, TUGs

I loved Travis, a total manwhore but a momma's boy. His band mates Austin and Sean are also likeable goofballs and Lexi shines as a girl that has hurt her whole life but let's love in with minimal second guessing. Glad everyone in the band will be getting a book, but bummed it won't be until next year

OK first of all this book was so freaking good, the flow and storyline was great. The interaction between the band 3UG was freaking hilarious. Eating the wings contest was and is an awesome way to figure out a dispute between the guys. And I think that Trent's mother was the coolest mom ever!!

Trent is the lead singer and front man for the band 3Ugly Guys (3UG). He is a manwhore and he loves women. He kind of meets his match when it comets to his opening act in a little blond firecracker. Once he hears her sing, he's a goner.

Lexi is a very talented singer and song writer. Gets a chance of a lifetime to be the opening for the group of 3UG. She got it on her own merit and not her famous fathers coattails. Lexi is actually a very complicated individual. She is also good at retaliation too. She rocked that eyebrow incident lol hilarious!!

This book had angst, hot sex scenes, fast storyline, laugh out loud moments and was just brilliantly written. Cannot wait for the next book in this series.

    Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
